  • Strong knowledge and working experience with programming languages such as java and python
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with application development frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with Cloud technologies and services such as AWS Lambda and AWS S3.
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with data integration technologies such as Kafka
  • Strong knowledge and working experience with API based system design
  • Strong Experience working with relational and no-sql databases such as Postgres, MongoDB
  • Experience working with containers and container orchestration systems like Kubernetes.

  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow

  • Ability to interact with tech/non-tech teams in Infrastructure, Network, Development, Product team and Business Partners.
  • Experience in designing WMS solutions or similar roles is preferred
  • Experienced in Security and Sarbanes-Oxley audits is preferred
  • Experienced in process reviews, continuous improvement, automation, and tool elimination
  • Experience in analyzing and recommending solutions for production issues.
  • Excellent technical documentation and communication skills with the ability to articulate business requirements into new technologies.

The Global Distribution Technology org is responsible for supporting Lululemon’s distribution centers across NA and the 3PL integrations across the globe. This is a highly motivated org committed to unlocking business potential with our Global Fulfillment and broader Supply Chain partners. The distribution technology org is currently leading a multi-year transformation initiative to support company’s future network strategy and growth.

What they want you to do: 

We are looking for a talented staff engineer to support technology delivery initiatives within GDT. In this role you will lead the Supply Chain Warehouse Management engineering solutions, working with vendor partners, business partners, Security, Infrastructure, Product and the Engineering teams.

A day in the life: 

  • Technical responsibility of architecture roadmap and vision of the Supply chain solutions
  • Design and Lead the Supply Chain Warehouse Management engineering solutions, working with vendor partners, business partners, Product and the Engineering teams
  • Collaborates with architects and principal engineers to create detailed design that is scalable, secure and maintainable
  • Provides oversight on delivery to ensure industry best practices, standards, automation, quality, timeliness, operational readiness, continuous improvement and cost-effective solutions
  • Provides technical leadership in transition from legacy Warehouse Management Systems into modern WMS solutions
  • Provides technical oversight and guidance to junior engineers on maintaining high quality code ensuring best practices are followed
  • Conducts thorough peer reviews of the code providing constructive feedback to improve quality and ensure adherence to standards
  • Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation of code, system design and processes to ensure knowledge transfer and ease of maintenance
  • Designs and supports implementation of telemetry solution to measure key performance metrics and health of deployed application
  • Designs and supports implementation of resiliency solution to ensure application and data availability and business continuity in case of disaster
  • Mentors junior engineers providing guidance on technical skills
  • Conducts training sessions and workshops to help team members learn new technologies
  • Actively participate in our Enterprise Engineering Community of Practice and contributes towards development and maturity of enterprise engineering platforms
  • Direct the identification and recommendation of appropriate solutions, upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning options incorporating business and technology productivity, usability, and total cost of ownership
