what we’re looking for

  • 10+ years of experience with much of that in product design or user experience design, preferably in retail, ecommerce, omni-channel or adjacent industries.
  • Expert in: User-Centered Design methodologies; UX/UI Design, and creating mock-ups and prototypes at varying levels of fidelity.
  • A portfolio demonstrating your end-to-end design process.
  • Expert in Figma and Miro (or equivalent tools).
  • Ability to drive results in a collaborative environment.
  • Expert presentation skills to share your work with credibility, clarity, and confidence.
  • Experienced in facilitation techniques that enable groups to build clarity and alignment.
  • Experience translating qualitative and quantitative data into design decisions.
  • Practical understanding (including capabilities, patterns, and limitations) of current technologies used to build rich experiences in responsive web and native mobile apps.
  • Ability to balance great design solutions with an iterative, agile approach.
  • BA / BS degree UX/UI design, UCD, HCI, or related field of study, or equivalent experience.

about this teamThe International UX design function is a key part of the Global Digital & Omni team, providing user-centered experience strategy, design concepts, and production-ready design assets to deliver a consistent and meaningful guest experience across our digital touch points.

What they want you to do: 

about this role The Lead UX Designer defines, designs and champions the high-level experience strategies for Lululemon Digital & Omni, with the goal of enabling customers to shop and enjoy the sweat life across Lululemon's digital ecosystem (web, app, in-store, community, etc) in a seamlessly connected way. As the Lead Designer on the International team, you will lead the work to create the vision for our future Digital and Omni-channel experiences for our guests in EMEA and APAC (excluding China). 
You will be building upon the existing Global Experience Vision, working closely with colleagues on the North America team who created this vision and pioneered the frameworks and tools that were used to create it.
The role is responsible for providing shape and structure to early phase, ambiguous ideas, and for developing holistic CX visions for discreet programs that can be parsed into implementable features and components (often then executed by other designers).

a day in the life

  • Identify opportunities and lead problem definition, in partnership with others in cross-program initiatives.
  • Participate in, create, facilitate, and identify opportunities for collaborative ideation sessions with teams across work-streams and senior leadership.
  • Strategize, create, and deliver senior leadership level presentations.
  • Clearly communicate and advocate a strategic point of view utilizing strong design rationale to teams across work-streams and senior leadership, and be open to their feedback.
  • Create deliverables that communicate problems and/or solutions to audiences including senior leadership - using the appropriate tools, artifacts, and fidelity level for the audience/purpose. For example: storytelling decks, wireframes, interactive prototypes, concept videos, etc.
  • Define and lead discovery activities, including: user research, competitive analysis, user task and goals identification, journey maps, process flows, service blueprints etc (in partnership with the UX Research team).
  • Thrive in ambiguity, build consensus, and share ideas that could be implemented in or outside the organization. Productively challenge cross-functional teams and senior leaders—and provides recourse strategies to build better solutions.
  • Be an advocate and coach to increase understanding of design thinking approaches and mechanisms across the International team, technology teams, and other key stakeholder groups.
  • Direct and mentor other designers.
